CUPCAKES FOR PROSTATE CANCER
Flight Lieutenant Beth Fray and Corporal Siobhan Foley work at the Dental Centre at RAF Coningsby. This week they have visited sections on the station with a variety of delicious cupcakes, to raise money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.
More than 200 home made cupcakes have been sold, raising £238.91
Flt Lt Fray is also running the London Marathon this year for the Charity and hopes to raise £2000. She said, “I’m raising the money because men in my family have suffered from this disease, my grandfather and an uncle. I’d like to say a big thank you to all those who helped in the baking and selling of the cupcakes and to all those who donated their hard earned cash.”
Cpl Foley said, “I enjoyed making the cupcakes and selling them around the sections, A great cause, and a great day!”
The money raised will help the 1 in 9 men, and their families, who develop prostate cancer in their life-time.
Flt Lt Fray has set up a justgiving site for anyone who would like to sponsor her London Marathon run.
