RAFA Branches Visit RAF Coningsby

Thirty seven Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) members from local branches visited RAF Coningsby on 12 October 11.

During their visit they were given a tour of a Tornado GR4 of 41(R) TES, and a briefing from 7 FP Wing. They also received an update on recent operations, including the Station’s activity in support of Op ELLAMY. The visitors were from the Boston, Coningsby, Mablethorpe and Spalding RAFA branches, all of which are supported by staff from RAF Coningsby acting as Liaison Officers.

The Station RAFA team are looking for new members to help support local branches, raise funds and promote the work of RAFA, which includes funding the ‘Storybook Wings’ and ‘Miles more Minutes’ campaigns for serving RAF personnel. If you are interested in joining the team please contact the OIC or Secretary.
