SSAFA Forces Help

Service life can be exciting and stimulating but, as most of us know, it can involve frequent upheaval, periods of separation and times when the support of extended family and friends isn’t always available or perhaps appropriate.

Whether you have a specific issue or would simply like someone to talk to, we offer support which is confidential and available to all Service personnel – married or single – and dependants.

I also hold an advanced diploma in counselling so if you have worrying thoughts after bereavement, need to talk about something that has been bothering you long term or issues in your relationship, please contact me.

If you feel I may be able to help, call me on (34)7846 to arrange an appointment.  My office is situated at the back of the CAATS building.   I am more than happy to carry out home visits.  Also contact me if you would like an appointment with the representative from the CSA Forces Focal Point.

Jean Pattenden, Personal & Family Support Worker.

P.S.  We are in the process of getting the Community Volunteer Scheme at Coningsby off the ground.  The volunteers will ‘fund raise’ to help with local needs and expenses and also offer practical help and befriending.  If you would like to be involved contact me on the above number for further details.
